Charlottesville .Net User Group

Hi I'm Matt,

Eric Meier (The Founder) and I (Matthew Sposato) are reviving the Charlottesville .NET User Group. Frankly it was a shame to let it lie dormant for so long. Thus far the site has been revised, all thanks to Eric for installing Community Server 2007. We've also scheduled our next meeting - Thursday May 15 2008. The meeting will be held at either the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council (CBIC) office or at the McIntire School of COmmerce, which is in Rouse Hall on the Grounds of UVA. We also haven't finalized a presentation topic yet, but there's no shortage of interesting topics in .NET. To us it was more important to get this group started again as soon as possible.

Anyho.. Please introduce yourself and maybe tell a little about the work you do.

I am a senior consultant with Dominion Digital, working mostly in C#/VB.NET and SQL Server.

I've been attending the Richmond .Net and SQL Server user group meetings for a while, and I'm very interested in helping get this group up and running. Please contact me to discuss how I may help.

Looking forward to the first meeting! I work for a IT Consulting and Staffing company in the area called Vivus Software. Lately, we have been working in Winforms smart-client (ClickOnce) development with heavy data synchronization (SQL Express). We're very excited about the new .NET Sync runtime and SQL Server Compact. And of course, we're always looking for .NET developers to serve clients in the Charlottesville/Richmond areas. I expect to use the Job forums on here a fair amount.

By the way, will anyone be attending VSLive in Orlando this year?
